Cats And Dogs Assignment Part 1
In the Cats and Dogs Assignment we discovered some new code that we haven't used yet that allows the use of audio and visual animation. The code that we used to link up the audio with the items in the combo box was My.Computer.Audio.Play(My.Resources.cat/dog_1, AudioPlayMode.Background). For cat it was placed in the Meow method and for dog it was in the Bark method. When we were creating the animation for the cat to chase the mouse or for the dog to go walkies we placed in this bit of code; _imgPictures(0) = Image.FromFile("H:\dog/cat1.gif"). For the timer to work we had to set a label as a clock for the current time by using lblCurrentTime.Text = Now.ToString("HH:mm:ss").

VB.net OpenFileDialog
When we use the OpneFileDialog class in VB it allows us to create a program that allows a selected file to be opened. There are other classes like the OpenFileDialog class and they include:
- SaveFileDialog
- FontDialog
- ColorDialog
- PrintDialog
- PrintPreviewDialog
- PageSetupDialog

Visual Basic.NET classes and objects
Classes are types that allow a procedure to be created. These types include: Variables, Methods, Events, and Properties. Objects are very much like Classes and cannot work without each other. They include Properties, Events, Methods, and Variables to create a procedure.
In the Cats And Dogs exercise earlier today we used object-oriented coding to create a program thta shows a cat's age, name and breed as well as the dog's name, age, and breed. We used
Public _ instead of Dim as the declaration to create the object and Public Sub New for the methods to be placed in. It is also the constructor for the procedure and its job is to create the objects for the procedure to work.
